Sustainability Progress Report

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has been integrating sustainable practices for decades as part of our conservation mission. Our sustainability journey has evolved over time with an active Green Team for years and individual staff finding ways to be smart stewards of our resources to the development of our first Sustainability Master Plan in 2012. After achieving several sustainability goals in 2015, we set new goals for 2021. This year, the Zoo is undergoing a Climate Action planning process to reevaluate and set new goals after many of the 2021 goals were met. This report provides an update on those goals as well as details about the projects and strategies helping move these efforts forward.
